HoloFlip ("the app", "we", "us") helps you sell trading cards on eBay: you photograph a card, the app identifies it, shows you what it's selling for, and creates an eBay listing on your behalf. This policy explains what information the app handles, why, who it's shared with, and how to delete it.
Your eBay account. You sign in on eBay's own page; we never see your eBay password. eBay gives the app access tokens so it can search eBay and create, change and end listings for you. The tokens are stored encrypted on your phone. During sign-in our server holds them for a moment to pass them to the app, and deletes them as soon as the app collects them (or after 15 minutes if sign-in isn't finished). Our server also uses your token to look up your eBay user ID, which we use as your account with us (for daily usage limits and your grade history).
Card photos. When you scan a card, the photo goes through our server to our card-recognition provider (Ximilar) to identify the card, and may be sent to eBay to find matching listings. These photos are not stored by us. Photos you choose to add to a listing are uploaded to eBay as part of that listing.
Grade checks. When you run a grade check, the front (and optional back) photos are sent to Ximilar for a condition estimate. A small copy of each photo, the estimate, and the card's name are saved on our server under your eBay user ID, so your grade history follows you to any phone. They stay until you delete them in the app or delete your data.
Card details for pricing. To show prices, the card's name, set and number (not your photo) are sent to our pricing provider (JustTCG), and searches are run on eBay.
Listing details. The price, condition, shipping, photos and other details you enter are sent to eBay to create your listing. We don't keep a copy.
Selling preferences and history on your phone. Your ship-from ZIP code, shipping and return settings, recent scans, Bulk queue and price changes are stored only on your phone.
Usage counts. To keep the service fair and affordable, our server counts how many scans, price lookups and grade checks each eBay user ID makes per day. Daily counts are kept for up to 90 days. If a request arrives without a working eBay sign-in, it is counted by IP address instead.
Crash reports. If the app hits an error, it sends us a short report: the error message, where in the app it happened, your phone's operating system and the app version, along with the IP address it came from. Reports are deleted within 6 months.
Server logs. Like any website, our hosting and network providers record basic request information (such as IP address and time) to run and protect the service.
Only with the services needed to run the app, and only for that purpose:
We may also disclose information if the law requires it.
All traffic between the app, our server and our providers is encrypted (HTTPS). Sign-in tokens are stored in your phone's encrypted storage. No system is perfectly secure, but we keep what we hold to a minimum.
HoloFlip is for eBay sellers and is not directed at children under 13. eBay accounts require users to be 18 or older. If you believe a child has given us information, contact us and we'll delete it.
If this policy changes, we'll update the date above, and tell you in the app for significant changes.
